The burning desire for music ignited when he jumped on stage to sing a cover of Maroon 5’s She Will Be Loved. His parents found him accordion lessons at the age of 6 to get a basic understanding of music theory. He self-taught himself instruments such as piano, recorder, guitar, saxophone, ukulele, bass, drums, all while trying to complete junior high school. Ernando then begged his mom for private voice lessons, to finally master harmony and vocal technique. He then auditioned for the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) where he got accepted as a classical vocalist. During his 4 years of high school, Ernando experimented with different genres of music like classical, jazz, as well as musical theatre.  He also got involved in songwriting courses as well as music technology production. As his 4 years came to a close, Ernando got accepted to the Berklee College of Music as well as the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. After moving to San Francisco, he quickly dropped out and moved back home to take care of his mom who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

While home, he wrote, recorded, and produced his first set of original music, the Nocturnal - EP. Ernando gained a better grasp of live performance during his time with his former bands , HO3 and Zoopocket, all while trying to feature his original music. He then went on to release singles such as Ladybug, and no way. As the COVID pandemic hit, shows began to slow and being stuck inside with his family, he entered into his new group (Ernando and the Nandos). He wrote and released his latest single, LAX, which features the first appearance of the Nandos in action. He then went to write record produce and release his first debut album, The Nandos. With more original music on the way, he now spends every weekend playing SHOWS and private events throughout the Southern California area.
